Artist's Description
This painting won First in Show at the Stirling Art Studios & Gallery in Dunedin, Florida. A realistic, contemporary depiction of watersports on Tampa Bay. The Passage Key Inlet along the North Shore of Anna Maria Island is a favorite spot for fishermen and kayakers. Below the surface many fish silently cruise the channel. As the kayakers cross the channel the sharks, tarpon, whiting, starfish, etc are cruising below. This painting is for sale, contact the artist directly for purchase information.
About Joan Garcia
An artist in the Tampa Bay area, Joan has artwork in corporate and private collections nationally and internationally. Having lived in Miami, Costa Rica, Texas, and finally returning to Florida, she has been working professionally in fine art and portraiture for over 40 years. Having participated in numerous shows she has won both patron, People's Choice and Best of Show awards. Her body of work stretches from realistic landscapes and still life paintings in oil and acrylic to portraits in colored pencil.
