The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Artist's Description
This is the first in a series called 10 White Dresses. The inspiration for this painting came from America's first couturier, Charles James. He looked at his dresses as works of art; this is an interpretation of his Swan Ball Gown. He is quoted as saying, "for form related to movement and above all erotic grace" which explains my decision to portray the woman in erotic fantasy style while the gown shows texture and movement.
