Part of the series Bird of Anna Maria Island, I took a photograph of this Great Blue Heron at Bean Point on the island. He was just waiting for anyone to catch a fish. Done in acrylic on canvas you can see the texture of his feathers in the paint strokes.
An artist in the Tampa Bay area, Joan has artwork in corporate and private collections nationally and internationally.
